Camille

In this show, the four seasons mark the journey of  Camille Claudel, the artist of genius whose destiny was broken by 30 years of forced confinement. The winter of psychiatric confinement, the spring of youthful complicity with Paul, the summer of love with Rodin and the autumn of the ruptures of maturity.

This show by Nele Paxinou is in the tradition of a theatre full of wonder, emotion and tenderness. In it she honours the genius of a great but neglected artist who was cruelly confronted with an essentially male society.

Talking about the show

“With all the power and poetry of François Ost’s words, ‘Camille’ is a theatrical jewel and the fruit of true team work. No one aspect can be neglected as all are essential to the whole, a kind of mirror in which each element enhances all the others.” — Muriel Hublet
